Minutes of the Flintshire Badminton League Meeting held 25 th February 2008 at Flint Pavilion
Members Present : Alan Bennett, Beth Marker, Audrey Harley, Dave Stretch, John Uren, David Hewitt, Brian Roberts.
Apologies : Hazel McColl, Jane Peace, Cliff Price, Gary Roberts.
Matters arising from the last meeting
Brian Roberts asked the question regarding the lateness arrival of players as Connahs Quay C's match night runs from 7pm until 9pm. The rules state the latest a player can arrive is 9pm with prior notification. This rule is to be discussed at the next meeting.
Nothing had been heard from Airbus or Llanferres regarding the dispute in previous minutes, Dave Stretch to chase regarding rearrangement of the fixture.
Alan to chase Mike Coppack regarding insurance of players
Presentation evening is all booked for 26 th April 2008 at Corus where there has been a slight increase in the cost. Hazel McColl to be asked to do the presentation.
On 1 st February Gordon Marshall wrote to Connahs Quay C regarding 4 outstanding score sheets with no response, therefore they are to be fined £5 per game to paid by the next League meeting otherwise it is to be doubled.
Tournaments – Regarding the League Tournament on April 6 th it was decided to run it the same format as the county tournament ie open and restricted (2 & 3 rd division players) events.
Trophies – Alan to order and to contact John Sprake regarding the cup trophies.
AOB – Brian Roberts referred to teams playing players out of order and unfair treatment of junior players by certain clubs.
Next meeting to be held on 31 March 2008.
