Successes in Welsh Junior Satellite finals in Welshpool
Jonathan Savory (Mold) won the U17 singles beating Evan Hughes (S Wales) 17-15, 17-15 in two very close games. Playing with Chris Owen in the doubles final he was beaten 16-21 by J Kinnear and C Killick (S Wales).
In the U15s Matty Burrows (CQ) won the singles beating doubles partner Dan Hardman (Flint) 21-15 in the semis and then Nathan Stewart (Wrexham) in the final 15-8, 15-12. In the doubles Burrows and Hardman won all four group games, beating Adam Spencer and Jack Ellis (Mold) 21-12 to clinch the title. Victoria Wheeler (Flint) lost in the girls singles semis to Lauren Miles (Conwy).

In the U13s Ellen Liddle (Flint) and Isabelle Cain (CQ) won the doubles title beating Kate Hitchcock and Nikita Pandit (S Wales) 21-9 after winning all their group matches.

Elliot Wheeler (Flint) had a great tournament. He just lost in a tremendous singles final 9-15, 15-3, 9-15 to Marco Arrighi (S Wales). Wheeler and Paul Hardman (Mold) and Hugo and Daniel Williams (Prestatyn) both just lost in their semis.
Nicholas Prtak (Llanferres) and Calum Sant (Buckley) and James Faulkner and Andre Schoneveld (CQ) lost in their doubles semis.
Junior training squads
We have received a Grant from the Flintshire Sports Council to help us identify potential county players. This is the first of three squads that will be coached by Derek Harvey and Audrey Harley. Photos of the remaining two squads will follow during the summer.
