Junior League matches at Buckley S.C.
Winners:
Div 1 Mold B
Div 2 Llanferres A

Div 1
In a division dominated by Mold with their A, B & C teams all competing, Mold C stole the show in their match against Mold A. Although Mold A managed to win the match 4-2 Ben Hughes unexpectedly took 1 st singles against Chris Owen 13-11 and Lloyd Martin took 4 th singles against Jon Reid 13-10; a great achievement for both boys who played extremely well. Mold C then went on to lose 6-0 to Mold B who won the division by a 1 game margin.
A much depleted Connahs Quay A managed to hold on to their division 1 status also by a 1 game margin over Mold C who return to the 2 nd division for the next fixture.
Div 2
Very closely fought with both Prestatyn A and Llanferres A winning all their matches and equal on games it came down to points to find the winner with Llanferres A taking the honours by 146-139 to win promotion.
Div 3
Flint A the winner here without dropping a game but Deeside A snapping at their heels with 5-1, 5-1 wins over Connahs Quay B and Denbigh A.
Div 4
Llanferres B clear winners the only team to win both their matches. Buckley B doing well despite occupying 2 nd spot in this division after coming down from division 3.
Div 5
Buckley C march onward and upward with promotion to division 4 after winning both their matches. A 3-3 draw against Flint B gave the win on points to Buckley (71-66) and similarly Llanferres C drew 3-3 with Deeside B, Deeside taking the win on points (68-65)

U11
A good Boys entry. In the semis Callum Sant (Buckley) beat club mate Ethan Johnson 15-4 and Alistair McCracken (Flint) beat James Faulkner (CQ) 15-11. Alistair won the terrifically close fought final 21-18, 22-20. In the doubles Callum partnered Nick Prtack (Llanferres) to win the final 15-13 against Ethan and club mate James Hinchcliffe.
Emily Gwylt (Powys) won the Girls singles beating Beth McLellan (Deeside) 15-5.
U13
The Boys singles was won by Lloyd Martin (Mold) beating Elliot Wheeler (Flint) 21-15, 21-16.
There were some exciting, close games in the doubles. In the semis Hugo and Daniel Williams (Prestatyn) beat clubmates Ananth and Arjunan Ranjit 15-9 and Elliot and Paul Hardman (Mold) beat Lloyd and Tim Kingsnorth (Mold) 15-12. Elliot and Paul had lost to Hugo and Daniel in the group match 15-10 but played much better, battling for every point in the final winning 21-14, 11-21, 21-14.
In the Girls singles Isabelle Cain (CQ) and Ellen Liddle (Flint) continue to have close matches. In the semis Isabelle beat Sophie Wilson (Prestatyn) 15-9 and Ellen beat Sophie Ellis (Mold) 15-12. The final was a cliff-hanger with Isabelle just sneaking home 21-13, 19-21, 24-22.
Isabelle and Ellen beat Jessica Faulkner (CQ) and Sophie Ellis in the doubles final 21-9, 21-12.
U15
A great entry with 20 boys and 9 girls. In the Boys singles semis Matty Burrows (CQ) beat Nathan Stewart (Wrexham) 21-8 and Dan Hardman (Flint) beat Liam Moses (Mold) 21-15. Matty beat Dan in a three set thriller 21-14, 10-21, 21-12.
In the doubles semis Matty and Dan beat Adam Spencer and Jack Ellis (Mold) 15-10 and Deiniol Hughes and Jono Reid (Mold) had a much closer victory over Nathan and Adam Stewart 19-17 – the result could have gone either way. Matty and Dan were convincing winners in the final 21-13, 21-11.
The Girls events went to visitors. Lauren Miles (Deganwy) beat Ellie Price (Wrexham) 21-15, 21-10 in the singles and Lauren and club mate Delyth Darlington won the doubles.
U17
In the Boys singles semis James Hulley (CQ) beat Chris Owen (Mold) 21-16 and Jordan Ellis (Mold) beat James Benfield 21-19. Jordan teamed up with club mate Tom Peace to beat Chris and James 21-17 to win the doubles.
