Badminton Report 18.02.08
North East Wales Association (Flintshire and Denbighshire) are hosting this year's Welsh Junior Nationals on Saturday 1 st and Sunday 2 nd March.
The venues will be Rhyl LC (U15 on Saturday and U17 on Sunday) and St Asaph LC (U11 and U19 on Saturday and U13 on Sunday. The organising team is shown below.

Flintshire has a very strong entry with good hopes of success; among those competing are Damian Renshaw, Bethan Higginson (first Senior Wales cap in the recent European championships), Gareth Oates, Daniel Font, Jonathon Savory, Tara Moorcroft, Chris Owen, Matthew Burrows, Danielle Oates, Eli Clough, Isobelle Cain and Ellen Liddle.

Mold A kept No 1 spot in the 1 st division with 6-0, 5-1 wins, with Chris Owen re-establishing his position with a 13-7 win over Danielle Oates (C.Q. ‘A') after his narrow defeat by her in the previous match.
Injured Deiniol Hughes (Mold A) lost to B team player Connor Fenwick who pulled out all the stops to claim a 13-6 win for his team.
A close match between C.Quay A and newly promoted Llanferres A resulted in a 4-2 win for C.Quay. Best game between Daniel Ellis (C.Q) and Tom Pimblett (Llan) with Daniel taking the win 13-12
Div 2
Flint A win promotion to Div.1 with 6-1, 5-1 wins.
Best match Mold D v Prestatyn A with very close games. Jack Owen (9) made his debut playing no4 for Mold D with a brave performance taking 5 points from Prestatyn player Arjanan Ranjit. Lewis Fenwick (Mold) had a hard fought game against Daniel Williams (Prest.) who came out on top with a 13-11 victory and Ananth Ranjit repeated the performance with a 13-11 over Sasha James of Mold.
Lewis also played very well against Daniel Hardman no1 for Flint A taking 10 points from him.
Mold C beat Prestatyn A 4-2 but it was much closer than it seems - only 2 points separated the teams (69-67).
Div 3
Buckley A won 4-2,4-2 to come out on top spot and earn promotion to Div.2 with Adam Baines and Andrew Finnegan performing well to help their team win.
Close matches between Max Griffiths (Llanferres B) and Jay Burke (C.Q.'B') 13-11 and Jess Faulkner (C.Q.) and Mark Pimblett (Llan.) 13-12
Div. 4
Buckley B players Stewart Brackenbury and Sam Fidler won all their games to help their team to a 4-2 win against Denbigh A.
Promotion to Div. 3 could hardly have been closer; Prestatyn B just beat Buckley B with both teams winning 10 of their 12 games, were equal on points won (143/143) but with Prestatyn only having 86 points against and Buckley having 96.
